This blog provides the illustrations for each Oblivion Ghoul cycle stage: 

 
Cycle 1: 
Here we see the Cycle 1 Oblivion Ghoul. His skin has turned very pale and his teeth, fingernails, and toenails have turned a dark purple. He now has an aura of creepiness. This one appears to want to join the “O-Boys”.

Cycle 2: 
The Cycle 2 Oblivion Ghoul has put on a massive amount a weight and has started to break out in sores and stink.

Cycle 3:
 This Cycle 3 Oblivion Ghoul is also called a “Sad Boy” or a “Saddie”. His bodily fluids are out of control and he always appears to be snotty and crying. He is covered in sores of all kinds. His breath and sore let off a powerful stench. Tiny worms can be seen crawling thru his skin. He is crushing a steel beam in his hand to vent his rage.

 This Cycle 4 Oblivion Ghoul has undergone a metamorphosis and come out looking like the best version of himself. He exudes an aura of charm and beauty. This cycle are sometimes called, “Beautiful Bastards”because despite their magical good looks they are selfish and egotistical in their hearts.

Cycle 5:
The Cycle 5 Oblivion Ghoul is displaying his new body pattern that has formed on him.

This Oblivion Ghoul has reached the highest form of his kind that has ever been seen. He has grown powerful and majestic horns from his head.

They excel at logistics and bureaucracy and instead of conquering by force they conquer with peaceful problem solving. They are known to go to some of the most hopeless worlds and use their massive intellects to find rational solutions to very difficult problems. They do not speak but communicate exclusively through telepathy. They are also the ultimate survivors having evolved their own bodies to be able to exist off any substance for nourishment and need very little water! They can eat literally anything from plastic to metal, toxic chemicals, trash, even dirt! Overall they are welcome on most worlds, seeking peaceful coexistence and exchange of technology and science..."

"Raine awoke with a start and to a wave of unbelievable heat falling upon him. One of his bedroom walls fell mere inches away from him, consumed by fire. All around him his home blazed. Raine quickly took stock of his situation and began to cough. He called out for his mother but could hear nothing but the roaring fire and what sounded like battle right outside his window. Raine rushed to it to see indeed there were people fighting in the streets. They cast long stark and jagged shadows as they wrestled and died in the dirt. Raine knew he must get out of here and hide..."
